The Wright Brothers


 In 1903 the Wright Brothers invented and built the first flying machine, the airplane.

Through determination, perseverance and innovation, they ushered in a new age of technological advancement never seen before. The mastery of controlled, powered flight is undoubtedly one of the greatest achievements in the history of mankind.

During the Wright Brothers' anniversry year, Irish pilots Alan McMahon and Paul Ryan will enter the record books being the first Irish pilots to circumnaviagte the world in a single engined aircraft.
